How To Export Symbian Contact to Android

Android smartphone OS has born, but do not ask the popularity. Android is compatible with Google services, so if you have google account, it is time to try "The Green".

If your users are using the Nokia Symbian OS and want to switch to Android, then one important thing to do is to transfer the address book to android phone. Here are the steps to transfer address book of the Nokia 5800 (Symbian) for Sony Ericsson X10 Mini (Android 2.1 Eclair) with Windows XP

The steps are as followings:
  1. Open the address book Nokia. Click menu Option+Mark/Unmark+Mark All
  2. Klik Option+Copy business card+To Other Memory and then choose your External Memory Card 
  3. Connect your Nokia to Your PC/Notebook with Cable Data
  4. Search Folder Others+Contact who have file .vcf
  5. Backup that folder who have file .vcf to your PC/Notebook
  6. Go to DOS mode, with Press Start+Run and type "cmd"
  7. type Copy c:\contact\*.vcf c:\contact\all.vcf
  8. Open your browser to make a new gmail account
  9. If you already have gmail account, import your contact with .vcf data
  10. Now, take your android, and go to Setting+ "Account & Sync"
  11. Activate option Background data and Auto-Sync
  12. Press add account and choose your gmail account
  13. Choose your account has been added and activate Sync Contact
  14. Wait until syncronise have done.
Step above is actually not the only way, because Android is very open with a variety of file especially if associated with google. Good luck! and Do It By Own Risk
